Joins on Sunday June 1, 2008 as we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our church. This will be a special service that you will not want to miss!
A bit of history as we approach the 10-year anniversary:
Destiny Outreach Ministries, formerly “Voice of Praise” was built in 1998 as a sister church of Voice of Praise in Bluewell, WV. Over the years the church has grown and even had a name change. The church leadership and as a whole remained the same through the name change. The new name picked by church members was Destiny Outreach Ministries.
In the beginning, Pastor Preston Mathena was the senior pastor of both the Bluewell and Tazewell church. Pastor Preston moved on to a world missions position at the Appalachian Conference, the regional office of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. As a church, Destiny Outreach Ministries is a member of the Appalachian Conference division of the IPHC.
In 2002, Pastor Steve Branch followed the Lord’s calling to Virginia from Orlando, FL where he was the Continuing Education Director of the Florida IPHC. He continues as Senior Pastor today. More on our staff here.
