What We Believe
What We Believe
Our church is affiliated with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The Doctrine of Destiny Outreach Ministries
….there is but one living and eternal God, of unlimited power, wisdom, and goodness.
….that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father, took the nature of mankind in the womb of the virgin Mary.
….that Christ arose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He remains until the time He will return to judge all people.
…the Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father and the Son and is one substance with them in majesty and glory.
….the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God.
…eternal life with God in heaven is the reward of the righteous, and eternal banishment from the presence of the Lord and unending torture in hell are the wages of all who reject Him.
….Jesus Christ shed His blood for the cancellation of our past sins, the restoration of all sinners who repent, and salvation from sin and sinning.
….justification before God is by faith alone.
….Jesus Christ shed His blood for the cleansing of the believer from all sin and its pollution.
….sanctification by faith in Christ is an instant work of grace followed by a lifelong process of spiritual growth after conversion.
…the Pentecostal baptism of the Holy Ghost is available through faith with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit speaks through us.
….diving healing was made available through Christ’s death on the Cross.
….in the imminent second coming of Jesus Christ.
….it is the responsibility of every believer to obey Christ’s command to spread His message of love and deliverance to every nation.
“OUR MISSION”
We believe that when we as a church become what is stated in our vision, we will be fulfilling both the great commission and great commandment.
The great commission deals with our relationship with the world and our responsibility to reach as many people as we possibly can with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The great commandment deals with our relationship with God and our fellow man and how we must walk in love towards both.
The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘ Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded them.” Matthew 28: 19-20
The Great Commandment: “Jesus said,’ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
“Our mission is to equip people to reach there fullest potential in Jesus Christ.”
We believe that to accomplish the specific mission that God has called us to accomplish that there are five things that God has called the Church Universal to do.
To WORSHIP by celebrating God’s presence.
To DISCIPLE by growing God’s people.
To EVANGELIZE by communicating God’s goodness.
To MINISTER by demonstrating God’s Love.
To FELLOWSHIP by being a part of God’s family.
Because Jesus came to seek and save the lost, we feel compelled to do the same. But Jesus went beyond just rescuing people from hell; He wanted to empower them to live an abundant life. If we as a church practice fellowship, discipleship, worship, ministry and evangelism, we will help people go through the process of maturing. Our mission in simplistic terms is to turn people into fully devoted followers of Christ.
