Hallow-Him 2009

This year we will be having our alternative to Halloween, “Hallow-Him” at United Skates on Saturday October 31st from 2pm-4pm.  We will have skating, games, and of course…candy!

To help us offset expenses, we are asking the each person pay $1 upon entry into the building.

Come out and join the fun!   All ages are welcome!

Back to School Blowout

This is a free event sponsored by Destiny Outreach Ministries to bless our youth and those in the community.  We will be filling our parking lot up with rides, games, and music! It is going to be a blast!

Your help is needed in three ways:

1. We need your help to spread the news about this event.  The event will be Sunday, September 20th from 2:00–4:30pm, so feel free to invite other church groups to join us.  We will NOT turn this into a “you-need-to-be-here-at-Destiny” event.  It will be a time to fellowship with other brothers and sisters, a time of reaching out to the lost, and an encouragement to the body of Christ.
2. Many are needed to help prepare lunch, set up and take down rides, supervise the rides, etc.  If you will help, please sign up in the foyer.
3. You can also help by covering this day in prayer.  We cannot take it lightly that many souls will be coming, and we want to make sure they Jesus in us all.  Also, we need God’s blessing for good weather.  So, pray!

MOPS update

Hey ladies, our first regular meeting will be September 10, 2009.  Tracey Garrett from Home Health will be our guest speaker. She will be speaking about RSV and the injections that they offer for infants with RSV.  This is going to be our first regular meeting and we can’t wait to see you there.  Bring your kids and get ready to have a great time.  There will be crafts, refreshments, discussion, and did I mention fun.  Hope to see you there.
