Destiny Outreach Ministries

Sion Alford will be at Destiny Outreach Ministries on Sunday May 31st at 6pm.

Sion Alford serves as the Executive Worship Pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. Giving oversight to one of the most influential worship departments in the United States, Sion oversees a staff of 14 psalmist and worship leaders in one of the nation’s fasted growing churches.

Sion is also the founder of 24/7Worship Ministries located in Arlington, Texas, as well as the founder of Heart of Zion Music and 24/7Worship Music. Sion travels around the globe ministering through Word and song to congregations as well as praise and worship teams who desire an intimacy with God that goes beyond the music to a place of continual relationship with the Father.

Both Sion and his wife Shannon are known internationally for their unique writing style of praise and worship music. Since 1995, this duo of praise and worship ministry has recorded seven projects that have been met with phenomenal response worldwide.

Don’t feel connected? Here is a chance for you to get involved with others here at Destiny. Our fly fishing interest group will be going on a day trip to the Creeper Trail area near Damascus, VA on Sat. May 23rd.  Leaving DOM at 8am.

This will be a day trip to the Creeper Trail area near Damascus, VA. All minors need to be accompanied by an adult. This will be a trip for those who would like to fly fish. Damascus and the Creeper Trail area is also an excellent bike riding location, and has been named one of the top destinations for bike riding in the state. You may bring your own or rent one from the many bike shops in the area. Here are a few things you will need to bring.

A few things everyone should bring include drinks, snacks, bug repellent, and sunscreen.

Fly Fishing
Fishing Gear
Virginia State Fishing License
Trout Stamp
National Forest Stamp
(you can get these at any sporting goods store or Wal-Mart)

Bike Riding
You can rent a bike if you do not have one
Helmet is recommended on the trail
